Ogoh-Ogoh Parade

Ogoh-ogoh is an expression of the creativity of the Hindu community in Bali in welcoming the saka year change which is held the night before the Nyepi celebration.

By parading around the village streets and circling the intersection as a symbol of the sacred time cycles that lead to the new Saka year turn.

After the procession ends, ogoh-ogoh will be burned which aims to eliminate the negative element or evil on this earth.
