In Bali, traditional musical instruments are called gamelan or gambelan. In the gamelan there are musical instruments, percussion, swiping, blowing, picking and so on.

According to its era, Balinese Gamelan is divided into some major sections:

For example, Gamelan Wayah or old gamelan is thought to have existed before the XV century.

Generally dominated by tools in the form of keys and do not use drums.

Even if there are drums, it can be ascertained that the role of this instrument is not very prominent.
